A short music questionnaire

Hello, all, and welcome to 2016!

Won’t be any different from 2015, but perhaps it will be. That’s all I am at leisure to say.

I am getting over a nasty little trifecta of infections – sinus, throat, and ear. Yeah, I know, what a way to ring in the New Year. Thought it was just a cold, but it wasn’t, so I’m on antibiotics, a rather potent dose at that. The ear infection diagnosis took me by surprise, as it wasn’t hurting or bothering me or anything. We caught it early enough, I guess. Thank goodness for that. I feel much better now.

Anyway. Happy New Year to all!

Here is a little music questionnaire I found, courtesy of tumblr. It’s interesting. Please feel free to take it and use it on your own blog, or leave your answers in the comments.

5. Sarah Harmer

6. Anna Nalick

7. A Fine Frenzy

8. Diane Birch

9. Enya

What was the first song you ever heard by 6?
~ “Breathe (2 AM).” And it remains my favorite song of her’s.

What is your favorite song of 8?
~ I have several, but if I had to choose only one, I’d say “Valentino.”

What kind of impact has 1 left on your life?
~ She has made me believe in the power of music all over again.

What are your favorite lyrics of 5?
~ “I’m thinking like a swinging door/Hinging on these changing thoughts/Between the pull-up to the shore/And the push-off.” It’s “Pendulums.” Good song.

How many times have you seen 4 live?
~ Zero. I have never been to a concert before.

What is your favorite song by 7?
~ I have several, but if I had to choose only one, I’d say “Electric Twist.”

Is there any song by 3 that makes you sad?
~ Well, in hindsight, “Imagine” makes me sad, if only because I wonder what could have been if only he hadn’t been murdered.

What is your favorite song by 9?
~ I have several, but if I had to choose only one, I’d say “Anywhere Is.”

When did you first get into 2?
~ One summer, long ago, we kids found a cassette tape of Queen’s greatest hits in our parents’ stash of music, popped it into the player, and never looked back.

How did you get into 3?
~ Well, duh, by listening to the Beatles. But it took me years, actually, to become a fan of John Lennon’s, mainly because I didn’t know a lot about him until I was much older. Now I love his music.

What is your favorite song by 4?
~ I have several, but if I had to choose only one, I’d say “Last Solstice of the 70s.”

How many times have you seen 9 live?
~ Zero. I have never been to a concert before, and Enya rarely performs live anyway, so.

What is a good memory concerning 10?
~ Dancing around the living room listening to “Dancing Queen.”

Is there a song by 8 that makes you sad?
~ “Magic View.”

What is your favorite song of 1?
~ All of them! “Hold On Hold On,” though, is my all-time favorite, if you want me to choose only one.

How did you become a fan of 10?
~ I grew up with them. Simple as that. Mom had two of their albums that we listened to a lot as kids, and I just have loved the group ever since.

In closing, I leave you with a great quote.

My Younger Brother was home for the holidays; he was here for a whole month about, between December 9th and early this morning when he flew back to Georgia. One night, he was playing his Star Wars game online, and he was killed by a player named deweydecibel.

Here is the quote: “I just got killed by a library!”

tee hee. When you get it. I know, not quite, but it was still funny.

I’ll try to do better next post.
