Birthplace: Peoria, Illinois.
Ancestry: I am 1/4 German, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Scottish, and 1/4 English.
Zodiac sign: Capricorn.
Biggest fear: Aside from losing someone I love, it’d be bees. Sorry, nothing bigger than that. I’ve told people the day killer bees invade the city I live in is the day I stop going outside.
Strength/weakness: My biggest strength is in observance. My biggest weakness is my shyness.
Worst habit: Picking skin from my lips and around my nails.
Favorite holiday: Halloween, but not for obvious reasons.
Ever been in a car crash: No. Cross your fingers. Knock on wood.

Do you have any phobias: Bees, needles, driving (to a degree).
What do you do as soon as you walk in the house: Put my purse down.
If you weren’t straight, what person of the same sex would you do: Um, that’s a little blue for this blog, don’t you think? Notwithstanding said objection, I wouldn’t know. I don’t think like that.
Fall in love easily: No. But when I do fall in love, it’d be for life, let me tell you.
Like pickles: Not particularly. I mean, I have to really be in the mood for them.
Prefer to know everything about your significant other, or be regularly surprised: A little of both, actually.
Have any pet peeves/irritations: Sure do, the biggest of which is people standing/sitting behind me and people reading over my shoulder. It’s the writer in me.
Gum: Extra Polar Ice
Back in the day….
Age at first kiss: Old enough.
When did you fall in love for the first time: I might be right now.
When was your first life defining moment: January 15th.
Who is your longest friend & how long: That would be Serena if we were still regularly in touch, but we really aren’t. Serena’s been my friend since elementary school – second grade, to be exact. I sent her a friend request on Facebook. I really wish we were talking again. Serena, friend me on Facebook!
Let’s think ahead
Goal you would like to achieve this year: Already achieved it – putting The Book together. Getting my driver’s license is the next hurdle, and I don’t have much time left to get it this year. I’d like to, but it will happen when it happens.
Who are you going to ask out next: No one except Johnny.
Drinking: Drinking what? Water? Yes, please. Soda? Ehh, not so much anymore. And maybe just one alcoholic drink, period.
What happens after graduation: Been there, done that. Best day of my life, that was. Although college graduation has yet to possibly occur for me….
What were you doing at midnight last night: Sleeping.
When was the last time you laughed hard: Playing “Cards Against Humanity” with siblings and cousins over Labor Day weekend. We were laughing so hard, we were crying.
Who was the last person that told you they love you: My mom.
What was the first thing you thought when you woke up yesterday morning: A la Marvin Suggs’ Muppaphone: “Oh boy, another day, another headache.” But only because I thought of Marvin Suggs and the Muppaphone. Keep watching for a Friday Funny!
Have you ever fired a gun: Sort of. Johnny and I went to Bloomsbury Farm a couple months ago, and they had a paintball target shooting range. So I’ve fired a paintball gun. Firing a real gun is on my bucket list, thought. So why haven’t I done it? I’m scared of the kickback. “You’ll shoot your eye out!”
Do you like sports?: Not really. I was never really athletic. I love to play volleyball, though, even though I don’t play correctly. I like to ride my bike, I like to run, I like to walk, and I like to do body pump. I prefer to watch sports, and baseball and hockey are my favorite sports to watch. To paraphrase Gilda Radner, watching sports “makes it feel like there’s men in the house.”
Are you too shy to ask someone out: N/A; I have a boyfriend now.
Favorite month: November, because it’s right between fall and winter, basically.
Where did you go for your first date and who was it with: Johnny and I first met for a ‘date’ at Barnes and Noble, just for a drink and a talk. Our first official date occurred the week after we first met. We had lunch at Perkins, then went to a Costco and an Asian market. Very cool.
Whose wedding were you in the first time you were a bridesmaid or a groomsmen: I have never been part of a wedding before. Unless you count the time I had to watch my aunt Julie’s dress train at her wedding. That’s as close to being in a wedding as I’ve ever been.
Who did you see in concert first: The school band. I have never been to an actual concert before.
Who was your favorite teacher: Mrs. Bouldin.
Who is the first person you call when you have a bad day: I’d text first, and that would be Johnny. Then I’d call either Mom or Older Sister to vent.
Who do you think about most: Johnny.
