Tune(s) for Tuesday – Christmas version, Part 1

Today’s Tune(s) for Tuesday come courtesy of two groups who I love, especially around the holidays. They don’t just do Christmas music, but they are mostly known for their Christmas music.

First up is Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with a little “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” from their 1996 album “Christmas Eve and Other Stories.” Nothing like a little electric guitar to really pump up the holidays, huh? LOVING IT! Another good song of theirs, from the same album, is “A Mad Russian’s Christmas,” which has a great electric guitar bit, gives me chills. But for now, it’s “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24.”

Next is Mannheim Steamroller, with a song from their 1988 album “A Fresh Aire Christmas.” We kids grew up with Mannheim Steamroller, and love them; their music is perfect for Christmas listening. This is one of my favorite versions of my favorite liturgical song, “O Holy Night.” This is “Cantique de Noel (O Holy Night).”

Enjoy! And happy listening!
