A fun questionnaire, to keep you and me awake, tee hee….

No, I’m not on a caffeine high, and no, I’m not depressed. I simply cannot sleep. So I’ve got my Pandora stream playing softly, and I’m filling out this questionnaire, can’t remember where I found it, but damn, it’s fun!

Are you an innie or an outie?
~ Innie. Also an introvert, so it all works out. tee hee.

Have you ever written a song?
~ Working on that. I’d love to be a songwriter. I’m thinking about setting a poem of mine to music one day.

Can you make change for a dollar right now?
~ Not at present. Last week, I could’ve, but not now.

Have you ever been in the opposite sex’s public toilet?
~ Not on purpose! I’ve accidentally walked into a men’s room before, but that’s because the doors weren’t clearly labeled, strange but true. Thankfully, it was empty!

Have you ever written a poem?
~ Several over my lifetime. Don’t have a favorite poem of mine, either, which I suppose is odd.

Do you like catsup on or beside your fries?
~ Beside. I like to dip my fries, not smother them.

Have you ever been a boy/girl scout?
~ No, but I had a friend who was a Girl Scout. Parts of it seemed cool, but I was never really interested in joining.

Have you ever written a book?
~ Not an official novel. I finished The Book for family and friends, though.

Have you ever broken a mirror?
~ Yes. Not on purpose, though.

Are you superstitious?
~ A bit. I don’t walk under ladders, I don’t like stepping on cracks, I don’t step on grey tiles, I don’t like breaking anything. I’ve been known to hold my breath and cross my fingers when passing a cemetery….and some of those cemeteries can be looong….

What is your biggest pet peeve?
~ People standing/sitting behind me, and/or reading over my shoulder. It’s the writer in me.

Do you slurp your drink after it’s gone?
~ You betcha! Though I gather that’s very rude to do in a restaurant.

Have you ever blown bubbles in your milk?
~ Yes.

Would you rather eat a Big Mac or a Whopper?
~ Neither. I’m not a big beef eater.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping?
~ No.

Would you ever parachute out of a plane?
~ Depends, I guess.

What’s the most daring thing you’ve done?
~ Participated in a walk-out in seventh grade. I just remember my friends and I walking quickly down the hallway, giggling. We got caught, but we didn’t get in trouble for it.

When you are at the grocery store, do you ask for paper or plastic?
~ Our grocery store doesn’t have such a choice – it’s plastic or nothing, unless you bring your own bag(s), which I do sometimes.

True or false: You would rather eat steak than pizza.
~ False. I’d rather have pizza any day. I’m not a big steak fan; I have to be in the right mood for steak.

Did you have a baby blanket?
~ Yes. It’s currently in my mother’s cedar chest.

Have you ever tried to cut your own hair?
~ Yes….

How did that turn out?
~ ….and it was a total disaster. I really got yelled at for it. (I was really little at the time.)

Have you ever sleepwalked?
~ Not that I know of.

Have you ever had a birthday party at McDonalds?
~ No.

Can you flip your eye-lids up?
~ No. That hurts just thinking about it.

Are you double jointed?
~ No.

If you could be any age, what age would you be?
~ Fifteen.

Have you ever gotten gum stuck in your hair?
~ Yes.

Do you ride roller coasters?
~ I enjoy them, yes. I love feeling the little flip in my tummy. It’s cool.

What’s your favorite carnival ride?
~ The Ferris wheel.

What is your dream car?
~ Something small and compact, but big enough to carry a lot of stuff. I don’t have a particular brand in mind. Maybe a Toyota Yaris or a Nissan of some kind.

What is your favorite cartoon of all time?
~ “Daria,” followed closely by “Invader Zim.”

Have you ever eaten a dog biscuit?
~ No.

If so, would you eat another one?
~ N/A.

If you were in a car sinking in a lake, what would you do first?
~ Try to open a window.

Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
~ Yes. It was after I put my hand through the window.

Can you pick something up with your toes?
~ Yes.

How many remote controls do you have in your house?
~ Hmm. Total? Let me think….uh, too many to count. I know I have two in my room, one for my TV and one for my DVD/VCR combo.

Have you ever fallen asleep in school?
~ Yes.

How many times have you flown in an airplane in the last year?
~ Once, in January. Although, technically, it was two separate flights, but I count it as one trip.

How many foreign countries have you visited?
~ Four – France, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.

If you were out of shape, would you compete in a triathlon if you were somehow guaranteed to win a big, gaudy medal?
~ No.

Would you rather be rich and unhappy, or poor and happy?
~ Poor and happy. Like I am now.

If you fell into quicksand, would you try to swim or try to float?
~ Try to float. Quicksand apparently doesn’t work like everyone thinks it does.

Do you ask for directions when you are lost?
~ Yes. And I ask for help at stores when I can’t find something.

Have you ever held a Mexican jumping bean?
~ No, I don’t think so.

Are you more like Cinderella or Alice in Wonderland?
~ Alice in Wonderland.

Would you rather have an ant farm with no ants or a box of crayons with broken points?
~ The crayons. You can always sharpen crayons, you know.

Do you prefer light or dark bread?
~ As in white or wheat? Wheat. Or do you mean toasted? I don’t like burnt toast.

Do you prefer scrambled or fried eggs?
~ Depends on my mood.

Have you ever been in a car that ran out of gas?
~ Yes. I vaguely remember this. I was really little at the time, and I think it was somewhere in Kentucky or Tennessee (we were living in Georgia at the time). And it was really hot, so it was in summer. That’s about all I remember.

Do you talk in your sleep?
~ I wouldn’t know. I’m asleep.

Would you rather shovel snow or mow the lawn?
~ I don’t prefer either task, but I do both tasks in their respective seasons.

Have you ever played in the rain?
~ Yes.

Did you make mud pies?
~ No. I wasn’t that kind of kid. I collected rocks – rocks were my thing. I still collect rocks from time to time.

Have you ever broken a bone?
~ No. That was Younger Brother.

Would you climb a very high tree to save a kitten?
~ Yes!

Can you tell the difference between a crocodile and an alligator?
~ I think so, but I can’t remember what it is off the top of my head. I think it has to do with the shape of the snout?

Do you drink Pepsi or Coke?
~ I drink both, but I prefer Pepsi. There’s a funny story as to why I don’t like Coke all that much.

What’s your favorite number?
~ Either 5 or 7. Or 17.

If you were a car, would you be an SUV or a sports car?
~ I’d be a small useful compact car.

Have you ever accidentally taken something from a hotel?
~ No, not even on accident.

Have you ever slipped in the bathtub?
~ Yes. Gave myself a nice knot of a bruise, too.

Do you use regular or deodorant soap?
~ Regular. I can’t use fragrant soaps, because they irritate my skin.

Have you ever locked yourself out of the house?
~ Yes. I forgot my keys once.

Would you rather make your living as a singing cowboy or as one of the Simpsons voices?
~ I’d love to be Lisa Simpson. But I love singing, too. Maybe both!

If you could invite any movie star to your home for dinner, who would it be?
~ Nicolas Cage (actor) or Keira Knightley (actress).

Do you need corrective lenses?
~ Yes. I wear glasses.

Would you hang out with/date someone your best friend didn’t like?
~ Probably.

Would you hang out with someone your best friend liked, but you didn’t like?
~ Sure, because my best friend sees something good about this person. Maybe I would, too, eventually.

Have you ever returned a gift?
~ No.

Would you give someone else a gift that had been given to you?
~ No.

If you could attend an Olympic Event, what would it be?
~ Track and field. Dunno why.

If you could participate in an Olympic Event, what would it be?
~ Gymnastics, no question.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
~ At present? Five – a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of work shoes, a pair of sandals, a pair of formal dress shoes, and a pair of boots.

If your grandmother gave you a gift that you already have, would you tell her?
~ No.

Do you sing in the car?
~ Yes, depending on what song it is.

What is your favorite breed of dog?
~ I love Yorkies.

Would you donate money to feed starving animals in the winter?
~ Yes, and I do that every time I go to Petco.

~ Apples.

What is your least favorite fruit?
~ Peaches.

What kind of fruit have you never had?
~ Hard to say. I’ll try any fruit.

~ ModCloth.com.

~ Danskin.

~ I was a B and C student, so not really.

~ Don’t know.

~ Navy. It’s part of the family history, that’s why.

~ I don’t.

If you were to win a Grammy, what kind of music would it be for?
~ Alternative folk, like Neko Case. Although why they label her as that, I have no idea, because no label fits Neko Case.

If you were to win an Oscar, what kind of movie would it be for?
~ A gritty dramatic role.

What is your favorite season?
~ Fall.

How many members do you have in your immediate family?
~ Five – Mom, Dad, Older Sister, Younger Brother, and Youngest Brother.

Which of the five senses is most important to you?
~ Hearing. I’d die if I couldn’t hear music.

Would you be a more successful painter or singer?
~ Ooh, that’s tough. I’d love to be able to paint, but I can’t. I sing now, so a singer.

How many years will/did you end up going to college?
~ Off and on for seven years. It just didn’t work out, both financially and academically. If I go back, I would try to make it for the duration, so four years.

Have you ever had surgery?
~ Yes. Just not plastic surgery.

Would you rather be a professional figure skater or professional football player?
~ Figure skater.

What do you like to collect?
~ Notebooks, writing utensils, dolls, buttons, stickers, temporary tattoos, and angel figurines.

How many collectibles do you have?
~ Too many to count, mostly angel figurines, so.
