Tune for Tuesday – James Horner, “One Last Wish”

This is a passing to note.

Film composer James Horner has died in a plane crash.

He composed the scores for a lot of movies, and a very eclectic resume at that. Among his films included “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,” “Braveheart,” “Apollo 13,” “The Da Vinci Code,” “House of Sand and Fog,” “Casper,” “Avatar,” and, of course, “Titanic.”

So for today’s Tune for Tuesday, I thought I’d post one of my favorite pieces of his. It’s from the movie “Casper,” and it’s called “One Last Wish.” It’s the piano, I think – it’s a beautiful piano part, and it makes me want to cry. “Casper” was a greatly scored movie, anyway, so you really should go check it out.

RIP James Horner. Films will be a little less musical without you, but more musical since you made them. You will be sorely missed.
