Yes, I’m still here

Okay, so it’s been about two weeks since I posted last.  I apologize for that.  I’ve been incredibly busy, and the blog just took a back seat.  I will do my best to post more often.

So, what’s been going on?

First of all, I am almost done with drivers ed class; the last classroom is April 1st.  As for driving lessons, I have three left, and they are going really well.  This past Sunday saw me taking to the highway for the first time.  I loved highway driving!  There wasn’t as much pressure as there is with city driving.  As a bonus, I didn’t have a major anxiety attack beforehand.  I am practicing driving, and they’re right – it gets better with practice.  So I am looking forward to getting my license perhaps by late spring or early summer….and perhaps my first car.

Wow.  I’ve come a long way.

Work is going good, too.  I have started a training program at work called Couch to 5K.  It is exactly what it sounds like – it is a program for beginner runners to work their way up to running a 5K.  It’s a nine-week program.  This past Tuesday was Week 2.  I like running, and it’s going to be a good class.  We have two days worth of homework in addition to the class.  Older Sister is my homework buddy, so we run together every Thursday and Sunday.  I feel better when I’m done running.  I’ll keep at it.

I have a voice recital coming up in May.  I’ll be singing “On My Own” from “Les Miserables.”  I’m really working on it, so.

In guitar lessons, I’m working on that Duncan Sheik song “Barely Breathing.”  It’s been really fun.

I’m off work today, because I had an oddly timed dental appointment to get a permanent crown affixed.

My boyfriend comes home on Saturday.  He’s been in California visiting his family since last week Wednesday.  I get to pick him up at the airport on Saturday (along with my mom to drive, of course).  I am counting the days.  Can’t wait!  I really like Johnny, very much.

I had a doctor appointment on Monday, just for the yearly physical and blood draw to check cholesterol.  I am healthy.  That’s all you need to know.

This Is My Brave happens in May.  There are a couple rehearsals coming up, which I will attend.  I have some more editing to do on my piece, to get it to under 5 minutes, but it will be done.  I can’t wait to tell my story.

So, that’s been life lately.  Running and driving and working and boyfriend and….life.

Yeah.  It’s all good.  🙂

I’ll try to stay in touch more.
