So. Having fun with questionnaires, again. I found this somewhere, can’t remember where, and felt like filling it in.
Don’t worry. I will have more posts of substance in the future. 🙂
1: What eye color do you find sexiest?
~ Blue. But I appreciate brown much more now. *blushing*
2: White, milk, or dark chocolate mocha?
~ Milk chocolate. But not as a mocha – I don’t drink coffee.
3: If you could get a Sharpie tattoo on your back, what would it be?
~ On my lower back, I’d get a barcode design with the words “Poor Original” embedded within. Bonus points if you could actually scan the barcode. tee hee.
4: Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?
~ I grew up in a small town in central Illinois. Yes, I liked it. Often times I’ve wondered what would have happened if we had never moved from there….
5: Your favorite adult as a child (and not your parents, if they were your favorite)?
~ My uncle Thomas.
6: What kind of smoothie sounds really good right now?
~ A mint breeze smoothie from a local cafe.
7: Most embarrassing moment from your elementary school years?
~ Well, being bullied. That was all-encompassing embarrassing.
8: Most embarrassing moment from your middle school years?
~ Ooh, I know. That whole “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” unit in gym class. As in Richard Simmons’ “Sweatin’ to the Oldies.” And we had to do it in the hallway, because the gym was being renovated (if I remember correctly), so anyone walking through the halls saw the class doing it. Totally embarrassing. No offense meant to Richard Simmons, but I’ve always been vaguely embarrassed by him anyway, and I have no idea why.
9: Most embarrassing moment from your high school years?
~ When the bullies read my journal, claiming they thought it was my school notebook because “You’re always writing in it!” Well, yeah, but it’s personal, not for your eyes. You know? I almost died of embarrassment and anger that day.
10: Pirates or ninjas? Why?
~ Pirates. Just because. I really liked the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.
11: Have you ever climbed a tree more than twenty feet off the ground?
~ Yup, back when I was little. I would climb higher than that, I think. I liked swaying with the breeze in the branches and the leaves.
12: Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing set?
~ I loved to swing. Yes, I still love swinging, but I don’t do it, because I weigh too much.
13: If you could have any pet in the world, illegal or not, what would you get?
~ Just a little grey rabbit. Or else a ferret.
14: What’s your most favorite part of your body?
~ My hands, I guess. I don’t know. I don’t think like that.
15: What’s your most favorite part of your personality?
~ That it’s unconventional.
16: Madonna or Lady Gaga? Neither? Both? Who cares?
~ Who cares?
17: Have you ever watched the Super Bowl all the way through?
~ Years ago, when the boys and Dad were really into sports. I think the last Super Bowl we really watched, the Packers won.
18: Have you ever watched any major sporting event drunk?
~ Nope. I have not ever drunk and will not ever drink alcohol.
19: What’s the most delicious food you’ve ever eaten in your life?
~ Ricotta pancakes. Only problem is, they are super rich, and you can’t eat any more than you’re served. Sometimes, I can’t even eat the whole serving.
20: Margarine or butter? Which did you grow up with?
~ Margarine, I think. We tended to use margarine for bread and butter, and real butter for cooking purposes. So I grew up with both.
21: Whole, skim, 1%, or 2% milk? (Did you know they make 1 1/2% milk?)
~ Either 1% or skim milk. No, I did not know they made 1.5% milk. Hmm.
22: Which continents have you been on?
~ Europe and the United States.
23: Do you get motion sickness? Any horror stories?
~ No, though I once took Dramamine before a flight as a precaution.
24: Backpacks or satchels?
25: Would you wear a rainbow jacket? A neon yellow sweater? Checkered pants?
~ I would wear the jacket or the sweater. Not the pants.
26: What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
~ I had several. I can’t pick just one, because it varied so much. Like, there was “He-Man” and “She-Ra” in there, and “Jem and the Holograms,” and “Inspector Gadget,” and “Garfield and Friends,” not to mention all the old Nicktoons and Cartoon Cartoons. Plus there were all the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. And Pink Panther. And “Tiny Toons” and “Animaniacs.” And those old Disney series, like “Darkwing Duck” and “Tale Spin.” Yeah, I can’t pick just one favorite. I loved them all. I think cartoons are the greatest pop culture medium there is.
27: If you had to have a cow or a pig, which would you take? Why?
~ A cow. Because cows are just so sweet and gentle. Nothing against pigs, though.
28: If you had to look at one city skyline for the rest of your life, which would it be?
~ New York. Or San Francisco. I don’t know for sure.
29: Longest plane ride you’ve ever been on?
~ It was a little over 8 hours, from New York to Paris. At least, I think it was 8 hours. Might have been more. I don’t really remember.
30: The latest you’ve ever slept?
~ Until 1 in the afternoon. I’d been really sick, though.
31: Would you buy a sweater covered in kitten pictures? Would you wear it if someone gave it you for free?
~ No, I wouldn’t buy it. But I might wear it at least once if it was given as a gift.
32: Do you pick at scabs?
~ Yes. That’s a bad habit I have.
33: Favorite kind of bean? Kidney? Black? Pinto?
~ I’m not a big bean eater. I can’t even eat green beans anymore.
34: How far can you throw a baseball?
~ I don’t know. It’s been a long time since I’ve thrown a baseball.
35: If you had to move to another country, where would you move?
~ Probably to Europe somewhere.
36: Have you ever eaten Ethiopian food? Vietnamese? Korean? Nepalese? How was it?
~ I’ve had Vietnamese food before, thanks to Johnny; it was shrimp pho, and it was delicious! As for Ethiopian, Korean, or Nepalese food, I’d be up to trying them.
37: Small, liberal arts school or public university? Why?
~ Small liberal arts school, because they usually have enough staff for one-on-one interactions, if need be. When I went to college for the first time, that’s the way it was.
38: A relationship with love or one with sex?
~ Love. I mean, both love and sex are important, but love would be most important.
39: Do you eat enough vegetables?
~ No, and I need to change that.
40: Do you like horror movies? How about thrillers?
~ I went through a phase where horror movies were all I would watch, but I grew out of that phase. I cannot believe I was once a fan of “Suspiria”! Eek! Certain thrillers are still good, but I don’t watch them on a regular basis.
41: Would you scratch a crotch itch in public?
~ Uh, no. Used to work for an attorney who would ‘adjust’ himself in public. Ew.
42: Do you swear in front of your parents?
~ Before, never. Nowadays, yes.
43: Coolest thing you’ve ever been for Halloween?
~ A spider queen.
The costume was not mine, though. I think it was aunt Ellen’s. So.
44: If you could change your natural hair color, would you? To what?
~ I would change it permanently to auburn if I could, because I have reddish highlights in my hair anyway.
45: Do you want to get married? Have kids?
~ I would like to have children, yes. Not sure about marriage; not like there’s a long story behind that, but my parents are divorced, and I’d be afraid of making the same, um, missteps, I guess is the best way to put it. But if it’s the right person, I would. I’ve actually been thinking about that a lot lately….
46: Do you use a reusable water bottle? If not, you should.
~ I do. I’m not an extreme tree hugger or anything, but I do my part to protect the environment.
47: City or nature person?
~ Nature person.
48: Have you ever used something other than “makeup” as makeup? (Like paint? Markers?)
~ Yes, back when I was really little.
49: Can you walk well in high heels? Even if you’re a guy?
~ No. So I will never wear high heels.
50: Post 5 awesome things about yourself. BRAG AWAY!
~ You know, I’m not going to do that, because I’ve sort of done that already. Just go binge read past entries, if you want to know something “awesome.” But here’s something I’ve mentioned before, but feel like mentioning again: I have been told, by many a discerning Iowan, that I have a Wisconsin accent. I myself don’t hear it, but there must be something in the way I talk that reminds Iowans of Wisconsin. So I don’t know. It’s a mystery!
This was fun! Good night!
