Tune for Thursday – Diane Birch, “Fire Escape” (Edit below)

I know. This is rare, a Tune for Thursday.

Don’t worry. It won’t happen often.

You might have guessed that I’ve been feeling a little raw lately. Don’t worry. It won’t reach September level. Though, to be honest, it’s been pretty darn close. I don’t blame anything or anybody but myself for it.

To paraphrase Therese J. Borchard, it’s kind of like sneezing. You can feel it coming on, and sometimes you can stop it, but sometimes you just can’t. And you need to sneeze.

Anyway. Yesterday, for whatever reason, this particular song suddenly started thundering through my head. So I thought I’d share it with you today, Thursday.

From her 2009 debut album “Bible Belt,” this is Diane Birch with “Fire Escape.”

Happy listening.

EDIT: Oops, I shouldn’t have been so vague. That looks totally wrong. What I meant to say was, I’m in the midst of a depressed streak again. Nowhere near September levels, but it’s pretty darn close. And the whole sneezing analogy wasn’t meant to refer to suicide in my case. It was meant to refer to depression, and having depressed streaks. I felt the need to sneeze, and this time, I couldn’t stop it. That’s what I meant. So sorry for any concern it may have caused!
