A late song – Shannon Curfman, “The Weight”

Feeling not so much emotional as I am upset. Raw. Down. Wretched.

No real reason.

….

Yeah. No real reason.

So, here’s a truth for you.

“The Weight” by The Band is one of my most favorite songs of all time. And while The Band’s version is the definitive version, because it’s the original, in my opinion Shannon Curfman’s version is almost as good, and is considerably more rockin’.

However, despite its big loud sound, it’s still a lonely song….

From her 1999 album, “Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions,” this is Shannon Curfman with her cover of The Band’s classic “The Weight.”
