Sorry for all the wordiness the past couple days….hmm….*looking back*….more like week, huh? I’ve just been chatty. Plus, my cold made me so loopy. Finally took a certain liquid medication (YUCK; I hate liquid meds!) and Vicks Vaporub to break the cold and let me sleep all night.
But I don’t regret anything I wrote. So.
Today’s Tune for Tuesday comes courtesy of Shannon Curfman. Here’s another artist where, even though labels have been placed upon her like country, blues, and rock, and even though she is all that, she really isn’t either or, because she’s just so much more. Plus, she’s got a great voice, and she plays a mean guitar!
Back in 1999, at the age of 14, she released her debut album called “Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions.” This song is from that album, and has been part of my personal playlist ever since I first heard it. (I actually do not have that album anymore, but I intend to buy it back; I should never have gotten rid of it!)
I just like what she’s saying. Because I’ve also felt that way before.
From her 1999 album “Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions,” this is Shannon Curfman with “I Don’t Make Promises (I Can’t Break).”
