And, yes, I do have a quick Funny for you before I get to the weekly shameless plug.
Younger Brother is a fan of George Takei’s Facebook page. Yesterday, Younger Brother read to me what George Takei’s New Year’s resolution was: it was to remember to write 2013 instead of 2012 as the date.
Yeah. We’ve all done that. Which is why it’s so dang funny!
Now, on to the shameless plug.
Become one of the chosen. Join the mercurial stranger, DJ Mozo, in The Seventh House tonight, 8 to 10:30 pm EST, on Tenacity Radio. Don’t be scared off by the overall ‘progressive’ label. There’s something for everyone in The Seventh House. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed to tune in.
But it just occurred to me that, perhaps, you might not know how to get there.
Well, I’ll fix that right now!
Here’s how to go about listening to programs on Tenacity Radio:
1) Go to Tenacity Radio.
2) The very top portion of the webpage has a banner with various options – ‘Home,’ ‘Schedule,’ ‘Listen Live,’ etc. Click on ‘Listen Live.’ This will take you to a different page that includes the ‘chat room.’
3) Along the left-hand side of this page, there are such options as ‘Listen Now,’ ‘Current Song,’ and ‘Tune In.’ The ‘Tune In’ section lets you choose which media player to listen to the broadcast with – there’s Winamp, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, or Quicktime, or else Tenacity Radio has their own little handy player right above the ‘Tune In’ option. And that’s about it. Just pick a player and tune in!
4) The chat feature – all you have to do to join in is click on the little box that says ‘Click here to join the conversation.’ You can log in using Facebook, Twitter, or RumbleTalk (whatever RumbleTalk is), or you can log in as a ‘Guest.’ As a guest, you can pick your own screen name. I, of course, am Mouse. I’ll be listening tonight and every Friday night. I hope to see you there.
And that’s it. Feel free to explore the site. Happy listening!
And do tune in, won’t you? As the DJ himself wrote: “Isn’t it about time you drank the Kool-Aid?”
To which I reply: “As long as you don’t forget the sugar.”
It’ll be a busy day for me tomorrow (first guitar lesson!, as well as other running around), so I’ll probably see you on Sunday.
