Winter is here

A little while ago (around 6:30-ish pm CST), the snow began.

It was just spitting little flakes at first, almost like a light spring rain shower.

It quickly morphed into the perfect snow-globe snow – those big fat snowflakes that stick in your hair and eyelashes, and as you’re standing out in the middle of it, the world all seems so silent, so peaceful, and so magical….

Yeah. Until you realize it’s only going to get worse….(hate to be such a downer, but….)

I could be wrong about that ‘getting worse’ thing, but judging by all the forecasts, that doesn’t really seem likely.

So, these will serve as the ‘before’ pictures.

‘After’ pictures will come tomorrow. There are 8 to 12 inches of snow – or more – yet to accumulate.
